Configuring Outlook

Open Outlook and go to Tools -> Accounts.

Choose the approprite Email option for adding a new email account or changing one that already exists then click Next >

Here, you can choose an existing email profile to edit or create a new one and come back to complete configuring it to work with Llamas.Net. After selecting the POP3 or IMAP account for Llamas.Net that you wish to configure, click Change...

Fill in your display name (Your Name), email address (user@llamas.net), User name, password. The Incoming (POP3 or IMAP) and Outgoing email servers should both be mail.llamas.net. You can optionally select to have Outlook Express to remember your password so you need not type it in, however PLEASE DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSWORD! Visit the Software Recommendations page for an application to securely store passwords. When everything is filled in click More Settings....

Select the Outgoing Server tab and check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Click the Advanced Tab.

Check both boxes for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). POP3 profiles will see the port change to 995 and IMAP4 profiles will change to 993. You should manually change the SMTP port from 25 to 587 to avoid any difficulties with ISPs that block access to outside mail servers. When finished, click OK
